Pilar García de la Granja will present "Midday Cope"

Pilar García de la Granja will present "Midday Cope"

"Rigorous, diverse, fun, and a huge radio fan." That's how listeners describe Pilar García de la Granja , the new communicator that Cope will add to its programming schedule next season. She will do so at the helm of 'Mediodía Cope,' a program where, according to the latest General Media Study (EGM), Jorge Bustos and Pilar Cisneros have broken a record with 663,000 daily listeners. Starting September 1, Bustos and Cisneros will take over from Pilar García de la Granja.

Cope is thus strengthening its programming with the aim of continuing to offer the best information and analysis at a time of peak news, not only to those who tune in between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., but also to the network's 3,813,000 listeners , its highest ever figure.

"I'm landing at a time slot I haven't been on yet, and I'm doing so, like the rest of the broadcasters, committed to rigorous journalism that continues to build a direct and honest relationship with the audience in a context influenced by fake news and artificial intelligence. The economy is and will continue to be news, and our job is to make what's important interesting, doing so with optimism and a practical sense of purpose. Providing elements that are useful to listeners," says De la Granja, winner of the Antena de Oro Award for the best economic news on Spanish radio in 2008.

Since 2019, listeners can hear her on "Herrera en Cope" with Carlos Herrera at 7:30 a.m. and on "La Linterna" with Ángel Expósito at 9:30 p.m. for economic news. De la Granja joins Mediodía following the station's commitment to "Herrera" by increasing the presence of Jorge Bustos with Carlos Herrera and Alberto Herrera from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.
